“Tradition taught with creativity and laughter is a joy to behold.”

Welcome to Shir Hadash Religious School! Here's why you should choose us:

  • We inspire students to care, question, and think deeply about Judaism, the Jewish community and their own personal Jewish identity.

  • We engage students with Judaism through both tradition and creativity.

  • We encourage and guide students to explore the meaning and relevance of ethics, Jewish history, holidays, God, Torah, and Israel.

  • Rabbi Eitan Weiner-Kaplow interacts with every grade each week, and teachers and students form close and trusting bonds.

  • Rabbi Eitan works with each student to create an individualized bar or bat mitzvah that embraces his or her strengths and talents.

  • We are progressive, innovative, engaging, and nurturing.

  • It’s hard to believe, but we do all of this in just one day a week, Sundays from 9:15 a.m to 12:20 p.m.

"We love the one day a week! It fits our schedule and our daughter's busy schedule from school and sports."

"Our daughter's bat mitzvah was a wonderful experience for her and our family. The rabbi personalized the service around our daughter, which gave her confidence and let her shine."

"The kids programming is so warm and welcoming. Our son is learning Hebrew letters and making friends. We also began making new friends in the community."

"My kids enjoy the creativity with their classes. They seem more engaged."

"Our son has special needs and the teachers and rabbi are so accommodating. I can't imagine being anywhere else."

"Both of our boys were bar mitzvah'd two years ago, but they wanted to give back and joined the Madrichim program."
